Subway evacuated in North Philadelphia after fire

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - July 13, 2011

It was around 1:35 p.m. when firefighters responded to a report of a fire on a train at Broad and Girard in North Philadelphia.

SEPTA officials tell Action News that the train ran over an empty baby stroller and a fire started underneath the third car.

Passengers were evacuated with no injuries reported.

Shuttle buses were being used to move passengers for about 45 minutes but SEPTA now says service is back to normal.
