It happened on the 4100 block of Orchard Street around 1:25 a.m., when police received the report of a fight.
Authorities believe the incident started with a crash at another location. The shooter then chased the 47-year-old victim to Orchard Street where the shooting took place.
Arriving officers learned that a family member transported the victim to Temple University Hospital where he later died while in the operating room.
No word on the victim's identity.
An investigation continues.
