Police identify woman killed in East Goshen crash

EAST GOSHEN TWP., Pa. - January 9, 2012

It happened on East Boot Road at the intersection of North Chester Road in East Goshen Township.

Police say 67-year-old Miriam Perilstein of Malvern lost control of her Mazda Miata convertible at about 11:15 p.m. Sunday.

The car hit a stone wall in front of an historic home in North Chester Road and flipped over.

Police say Perilstein was trapped in the car and died at the scene. Two cats inside the car were also killed.

Police say they believe Perilstein failed to stop at the stop sign at North Chester Road as she traveled westbound on East Boot Road.

The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department continues to investigate.
