Police seek teen who fled Del. youth facility

WILMINGTON, Del. - February 1, 2012

According to investigators, it was around 6:15 p.m. when 14-year-old Quamyr Seals of Wilmington walked away from the grounds of the Delaware Youth and Family Center, located in the 1800 block of Faulkland Road.

Seals had been committed to the Snowden Cottages portion of the facility since November of 2011. Officials say he fled on foot after returning from a medical appointment at the Ferris School.

Responding officers searched the immediate area but were unable to locate the teen.

Seals is described as a black male, 5'02" tall and 130 lbs with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue t-shirt, blue sweatpants, and sneakers. He is known to frequent the Riverside area of Wilmington.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Quamyr Seals is asked to contact 9-1-1 immediately. Citizens may also provide a tip by texting keyword "DSP" plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES).
