The accident happened just before 3:30 a.m. Monday on Whitaker Avenue, near the Roosevelt Boulevard.
Police say the car was travelling at a high rate of speed down Whitaker Avenue when the driver lost control. The car spun around and hit a guardrail.
The 32-year-old driver and a 22-year-old passenger were trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters on the scene.
Both were transported to the hospital with various injuries.
