NJ Transit train strikes car in Camden Co.

BERLIN, N.J. - February 28, 2012

The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Washington Avenue in Berlin Borough.

Officials say an NJ Transit train heading to Atlantic City from Philadelphia struck a car on the tracks at Washington Avenue.

Berlin Police Chief Robert Carrara says the vehicle was stuck on the tracks.

No one was in the car at the time of the accident, but two people on the train were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

About 130 passengers were on the train at the time of the accident, which is now under investigation.
