The incident happened back on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Big Lots store located in the Penn Mart Shopping Center.
Police say as the victim was walking toward the front of the store when she felt someone grab her pocketbook from her shopping cart. She then turned to see a female suspect fleeing the store.
The victim gave chase into the parking lot where she managed to catch up to the suspect. The two then began to fight over the purse, and at one point the suspect even punched the victim in the face.
The victim started yelling for help and several bystanders came to her aid. That's when the suspect released the purse, jumped inside a blue vehicle parked nearby and then fled the scene.
The victim was not seriously injured.
The suspect is described as a white female, age 45-50 years old, standing 5'06"-5'09" tall, 230-250 lbs with black hair. She was last seen wearing a brown t-shirt and black pants.
