Officers were called to the Neshaminy Falls complex in Montgomery Township at 10:45 a.m.
A woman told them a man was inside of her home with a gun.
The man refused to come outside once police arrived.
However, by late afternoon, police say that man had taken his own life.
Some residents of the complex had been evacuated, but are now allowed to return.
