NJ Turnpike reopens after fatal crash in Mount Laurel (PHOTOS)

A crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Mount Laurel, involving two tractor-trailers and two passenger vehicles, resulted in the death of three people Thursday morning.

The southbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike have reopened following an accident that claimed three lives Thursday morning.

New Jersey State Police say the crash occurred just after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at milepost 39.9 in Mount Laurel and involved two tractor-trailers and two passenger vehicles.

Three people were killed in the crash. A fourth person suffered minor injuries.

Southbound traffic was being diverted off the turnpike at Exit 7-A while crews worked to clear the scene. All lanes have since reopened.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
