It was shortly after 9:00 a.m. that Delaware County authorities received a call concerning a male being shot inside Hilltop Elementary School in the 900 block of Meetinghouse Road.
Police responded to the scene.
As a precaution, Hilltop Elementary and Chichester Middle School was locked down.
After an investigation, the Delaware County District Attorney's Office is calling the incident a "hoax."
