4 arrested in Bucks County suspected drug deal

FALLS TWP., Pa. - April 1, 2014

The suspects have been identified as 31-year-old Jason Atkinson, 29-year-old William Rhoads of Morrisville, Pa., 25-year-old Kimberly McCann of Hamilton, NJ, and 22-year-old Alvie Vereen of Philadelphia.

On March 31st, officers observed a white 2006 Nissan Altima sedan occupied by Rhoads, Atkinson, and McCann, arrive and back into a parking stall.

Police say they appeared to be using a cell phone after which they remained inside the vehicle.

Officers then observed Vereen approach the driver's side of the Nissan. Police say Vereen then reached in with his right hand and handed Rhoads a small item after which he placed his hand back into his pocket as he turned and walked toward the parking lot exit.

Upon making this observation, officer were sent to investigate.

When officers approached the Nissan, police say Rhoads threw four small baggies containing suspected heroin onto the front dashboard area and various drug paraphernalia was seen throughout the car as well as a hypodermic syringe, containing suspected heroin residue.

Atkinson was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Criminal Conspiracy.

Rhoads was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Conspiracy.

Kimberly McCann was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Conspiracy.

Alvie Vereen was charged with Possession with intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Conspiracy.

The defendants were arraigned and bail was set: William Rhoads - $25,000 10%
Kimberly McCann - $25,000 10% and she had a County warrant for her arrest
Jason Atkinson - $15,000 10%
Alvie Vereen - $150,000 10%
