Fire erupts inside Dow facility in Bristol, Bucks County

BRISTOL, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Firefighters responded to a fire inside a Bucks County chemical plant on Friday morning.

The fire happened around 10:30 a.m. in the Dow Research & Development facility at 310 George Patterson Blvd. adjacent to Dow's Bristol Croydon Operations site.

The fire was brought under control at 1:20 p.m.

Company officials say there is no impact to the community. Some areas nearby were evacuated as a precaution.

There was also no impact on production at the facilities.

The company said all Dow personnel are accounted for.

Dow said it will conduct a full investigation into the incident.

There is no word on what sparked the fire.

No one was injured.
