HATFIELD TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A man has been arrested for the brutal assault of a pregnant woman in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Hatfield, Montgomery County.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim told police her alleged attacker is the father of her unborn baby.
Raymond Bautista, 36, of Allentown, is facing a number of assault charges, including aggravated assault of an unborn child.
Investigators say he attacked and beat the woman as she left her apartment back on April 24 on the 2000 block of Maple Avenue.
Police say the woman is 15 weeks pregnant. She suffered nasal bone fractures, as well as abrasions and bruising.
According to the criminal complaint, when police reached out to Bautista, he allegedly told them that he had been at home sleeping all morning after calling out of work.
However, investigators said Bautista's vehicle was allegedly captured on video around 5 a.m. between the crime scene and his residence.

When police arrived at Bautista's home, they said they saw a dark-colored ski mask and dark gloves on the front passenger floor of his vehicle, which he allegedly claimed were his work clothes. However, police said the items were similar to the clothing the suspect wore during the assault.
After being interviewed by police, investigators said Bautista allegedly admitted to committing the assault, saying it was because the victim was talking negatively about him at work.
The victim's terrifying screams for help woke up one resident in the Hatfield Village Apartments.
"I opened my blinds, and I saw my neighbor getting up," recalled Christopher Stevens. "It looked like she had just been attacked."
Stevens' Ring camera captured the brutal attack. The video shows the suspect kicking and punching the victim several times before running away.
Bautista's bail was raised on Wednesday from $75,000 to $500,000.
