GLADWYNE, Pa. (WPVI) -- 3 Middle schools will soon have new science and technology programs thanks to a grant Wednesday.
PECO awarded $40,000 to the Riverbend Environmental Education center for middle school programs.
Its for studying Aquaponics, a method of growing edible plants from nutrient rich wastewater.
Some 12,000 students in Montgomery county have participated in these hands on programs so far.
