Crossing guard honored by students in Pennsauken
3rd grade students from the Roosevelt School thanked her for 50 years of service

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- There were plenty of hugs and kisses to go around Friday in Pennsauken.

Laura Mason greeted each of the 3rd grade students from the Roosevelt School, where she used to be a crossing guard.

The children decided to surprise Mason with a visit to her neighborhood.

She helped the kids get to school safely for nearly fifty years before her recent retirement.

Her family says she was loved by all and rarely missed a day of work.
