A holiday party for young and old

MOUNT AIRY (WPVI) -- A community in Mount Airy came together Thursday afternoon to celebrate the holidays.

The Philadelphia Police Department's 14th District invited students from three schools, along with residents from a local nursing home, to sit down for a meal together.

There was a big surprise for everyone, when Santa Claus himself hopped off a firetruck and came inside, much to the delight of the little ones.

Santa handed out lots of presents, and brought lots of smiles.
