Driver killed in Broad Street crash

WEST OAK LANE (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a fatal crash in West Oak Lane.

It happened just after 9:00 p.m. Tuesday in the 6700 block of North Broad Street.

Police say a 53-year-old man lost control of his 2001 Lexus and struck a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

It has not yet been determined if ice played a factor in the crash.
