One dead in crash in Modena, Chester County

MODENA, Pa. (WPVI) -- One person has been killed in a crash in Modena, Chester County.

It happened at 5:00 a.m. on Modena Road near Union Street.

Images from Chopper 6 HD aired on Action News at 6:45 a.m. showed an extensive crash scene with a yellow tarp over the vehicle.

There was no immediate word what led to the crash.

Modena Road was shut down between Union Street and Overhill Road as police investigated and crews worked to clear the scene.

Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes.
