Who Killed Timmy Clark?
September 22, 2007 15-year-old Timmy Clark was a Pennsylvania football fan, but his team was a little further West.
"He loved the Steelers," said his mother Bette Clark.
The teenager wanted to be a car mechanic and someday run his own shop.
When his mother went to bed the night of July 12th she never thought she'd wake up to every parent's worst nightmare.
"The last thing I said to him was 'I'm going to bed, don't stay up late' and he said 'I won't.'"
Timmy was on the computer when a family friend staying with them asked if he wanted to pick up some snacks at the store.
"It was summer, no school, he was with an adult, its a store right down the corner from me," Bette said.
It was 2:30 in the morning on the 13th when Timmy and 27-year-old Damien Halloway headed out in the 69-hundred block of Vandike Street in Philadelphia's Tacony section. When they left the store police say both were gunned down execution style.
"My son was killed instantly. He was struck in the back of the head. Damien was shot through the neck. He lived for two days and died at the hospital."
Now Timmy's mother wants answers.
"They said there may be a witness seen running away," Bette said. "Someone had to have seen something, anything."
The family is asking for your help and has put together a $3,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
"I'm just falling apart, falling apart this is my baby."
Timmy's family is hosting a reward fund benefit to help boost the incentive for someone to come forward with information about Timmy's murder. The "Beef & Beer" event will be held October 5-th from 7:00 to 11:00 p-m at the Sheffield Tavern located at 4501 Sheffield Avenue. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. There will be a DJ, raffles and door prizes.
