Biden: McCain would put urgent global issues aside
WASHINGTON (AP) - April 15, 2008 In remarks prepared for delivery at Georgetown University today,
the Delaware Democrat says -- quote -- "When it comes to Iraq,
there is no daylight between John McCain and George W. Bush. They
are joined at the hip."
He says there will be no change in Iraq with a McCain
administration so Americans will have a profound choice in
November.
McCain, the certain Republican presidential nominee, backs
Bush's policy in Iraq and favored last year's increase in U.S.
troops in the country.
Biden dropped out of the Democratic presidential race after
Iowa's January 3rd caucuses. He has not taken sides in the contest
between Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton for the
Democratic nomination.
