Police seek birthday party shooting suspect

State police say a man is in critical condition after he was shot at a Frankford birthday party. It happened Saturday night at a home on Shockley Town Road.

Police say the homeowner was celebrating her birthday and there was a large crowd at the home when several people began to fight and shots were fired.

Police say 20-year-old Lamaris Wescott shot a 22-year-old Dagsboro man, then fled. He's charged in an arrest warrant with attempted manslaughter and weapons charges.

The victim was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center with a gun shot wound to the upper chest. Police say he is listed in critical condition.
