Phillies Host Marlins Tonight

The Florida Marlins will be trying for their first win against veteran starter Jamie Moyer tonight as they open a three-game series with the National League East-leading Philadelphia Phillies. Florida enters the series 2 1/2 games behind Philadelphia. After their set with the Phillies, the Marlins head to Shea Stadium for three games against the Mets, who are three games out of first in the division.

If history is any indication, the first game on the trip could be the toughest for Florida. Moyer has won each of his 10 starts against the Marlins, including three this season, while posting a 3.03 ERA, and overall he's 3-0 over his last five starts.

The Phillies will be gunning for their eighth win in nine games. They took two of three in St. Louis over the weekend.
