WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - July 31, 2008
Police spokesman Corporal Trinidad Navarro says the officer was
traveling south on Philadelphia Pike about 4:15 p.m. Thursday when
another car tried to make a turn. The other vehicle struck the
patrol car at Beeson Road.
Authorities said the injured officer used a mechanism that
signals for help. The officer was taken to Christiana Hospital for
a possible neck injury. The driver of the other car was not hurt.
