A two-car accident leaves multiple people injured, including a young child in Middletown Saturday afternoon. It happened around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Old Lincoln Highway and Route 1.

The two drivers, 17-year-old Yaroslav Dankulich of Trevose and Nicholas Dipasquale of Bensalem, lost control of their vehicles as they were drag racing, police say.

Dipasquale's vehicle continued through the guardrail, went airborne, and landed in the lawn of the Aqua Pennsylvania Water Company.

He was taken to St. Mary Medical Center where he had leg surgery.

Dipasquale's three-year-old daughter was seriously injured in the crash. She was taken to Children's Hospital in Philadelphia via medical helicopter. There is no further word on her condition.

Business Route 1 was closed for two hours for the police investigation.

Middletown Township Police are requesting any information in this crash. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash are asked to call Officer Michael Lubold at 215-750-3800 ext. 261.
