Son's throat cut, father arrested - Philadelphia News

STRAWBERRY MANSION - August 15, 2008 It happened just before 4:00 p.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of North Stanley Street. Medics were called to the residence after a one year old boy's throat was slashed.

The toddler was taken to Children's Hospital in stable condition.

Police arrested the father of the boy, 28-year-old Shandel Taylor of the 4800 block of Fairmount Street. Taylor was charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and other related offenses.

Police suspect the father may have been on drugs when he assaulted the boy.
