The bandit broke into Peakes Little Angels Daycare on the 5200 block of Baltimore Avenue.
The thief stole the computer, printer and a phone. A DVD player and DVDs were taken from upstairs.
No classroom was burglarized.
Owner Thelma Peake says she needs the computer back because it has personal information needed for the school's registrations, which are just now beginning.
The computer is a Hewlett-Packard and reads "Peakes Daycare" on the screen. If you see the computer or have any tips, call police.
Police hope a hat that the thief left behind leads them to a break in the case. It's the first burglary at the daycare in 20 years of business.
