It happened near 22nd and River in Camden, according to police. The driver apparently stopped at a corner store, got out, and left the car running with the boy inside.
Someone jumped in the car and sped away.
Police tell Action News that a few minutes later the suspect abandoned the car at 28th and Thompson, just a few blocks from the store.
The boy is fine and is back with his family. Police are still searching for the carjacker.
