New Jersey Transit says a man has been struck and killed by a commuter train. New Jersey Transit spokeswoman Courtney Carroll says the unidentified adult was hit by a Northeast Corridor train that left New York City around midnight.

The engineer blew the train's horn after spotting the man on the tracks after leaving the Princeton Junction station, but he was unable to stop in time.

The train was due to arrive in Trenton at 1:32 a.m.

Sunday morning service was not affected.
