Philadelphia police were on the scene around 1 a.m. near Woodward Street and Winchester Avenue.
Officers say the results of the assault in a wooded area of the park were minor injuries.
However, police arrested the couple because they were living in Pennypack Park in a tent, which is a trespassing offense.
