Bank gives generously to Philly arts

PHILADELPHIA - March 11, 2009 PNC Financial announced a 5-million dollar investment to support visual and performing arts in Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey today.

It's called PNC Arts Alive.

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter was on hand for the announcement at PNC in Center City.

He said the arts are needed to uplift people's spirits - particularly in this difficult time.
