Three teen girls struck by car

Three teenage girls were taken to area hospitals after being struck by a car in the East Falls section of Philadelphia.It happened at around 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Henry and Barnes Avenues.

Authorities say the driver of the car, an elderly woman, ran a red light.

Her car then struck three teenage girls, who were running with their cross country coach.

Police say the girls, ranging from age 16 to 18, were treated with nonlife threatening injuries.
