SWAT teams peacefully end standoff in Chester

CHESTER, Pa. - April 23, 2009 Police responded to the home on the 100 block of Highland Avenue around 1:00 a.m. after it was reported that the man, who was allegedly armed, had taken a hostage.

Police SWAT teams made forceful entry into the house and the situation was under control about an hour later.

Police negotiators had no comment on any arrests, nor would they comment on the well being of the suspect or the alleged hostage.
