2 rescued after car plunges off pier

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP - September 20, 2009

The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. on Mill Street in the Bristol Lions Park.

Sources tell Action News that the man and woman were driving down Mill Street when they drove through a chained off area and into the Delaware River. The man was able to remove himself from the river, the female was pulled from the river by fire crews.

No serious injuries were reported. Police are investigating and have not released additional information.
