The fire broke out along the 6100 block of 17th Street at around 10:56 a.m.
The fire quickly went to a second alarm.
An elderly woman was transported to Einstein Medical Center with nonlife threatening injuries.
The fire department was able to get an upper hand on the blaze before it could go to more alarms.
