The body of a New York man has been pulled from a river in eastern Pennsylvania and police are calling his death suspicious.

Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek says 55-year-old Miguela Rivas was pulled from the Lehigh River in Easton on Sunday. A passing kayaker had spotted Rivas' body.

Lysek says Rivas, of Huntington Station, N.Y., had been dead for several days but had not been reported missing.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
