Philadelphia Police say the stabbing happened at about 4:30 Saturday afternoon in a home along the 500 block of South 56th Street.
A domestic incident apparently prompted the stabbing, according to police.
The 36-year-old man was stabbed numerous times in the stomach and is hospitalized in critical condition.
Police took a suspect into custody. Southwest Detectives are investigating.
