The Palm Beach Gardens city council has given initial approval to a plan that would allow dogs in the outdoor areas of restaurants.
But the pooches would have to stay leashed, and couldn't sit in chairs or eat at the table.
The measure would also require extra hand sanitizers for the restaurants.
The doggie dining issue faces a second council reading before final approval.
