The African Sulcata Tortoise, named Roger, was discovered missing around 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Greenbank Aquarium in the 100 block of Greenbank Road.
An employee told police that the tortoise is capable of opening the front door, but usually just roams the store during business hours.
A resident of the Greenbank Manor Apartments found the tortoise Monday night in good health and notified police. Roger was then returned to the custody of the Greenbank Aquarium.
There is no word yet if the tortoise was actually stolen or just simply wandered away.
Roger has been a fixture at the store for the past 15 years, and owner Billy Williams said Roger was so popular that people would stop by at the store just to see him.
The owner of the store is away in Florida, but says an employee was supposed to keep an eye on Roger.
