Body found in Allentown recycling truck was homeless man

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - October 15, 2010

The Lehigh County coroner's office says the death of Michael A. Dempsey has been ruled an accident.

The Morning Call of Allentown reports that workers found Dempsey's body around 3:45 p.m. Thursday as they were sorting through recyclables at the Liberty Recycling Center.

Allentown police say Dempsey had recently become homeless and had sought refuge in a large recycling bin, whose contents were dumped into the recycling truck.
