A Camden boarding house resident who fatally beat his roommate with a baseball bat two years ago has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Forty-eight-year-old Dwayne Johnson must serve 85 percent of the term imposed Friday before becoming eligible for parole.

Johnson had pleaded guilty in August to aggravated manslaughter in connection with the November 2008 of Andre Miller, who was beaten in the head with the bat and also sustained stab wounds in the attack.

A motive for the incident has not been disclosed.
