The fire broke out shortly after 2:00 a.m. at the Meadowview Court Apartments in the 1800 block of Egg Harbor Road in Lindenwold.
Arriving firefighters found flames shooting from the first and second floors of the building. Crews called for a second alarm within minutes of arrival, which brought in neighboring fire companies to help local crews.
The fire was brought under control shortly after 3:00 a.m.
One resident was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. They are currently listed in stable condition.
The Red Cross is relocating 10 others to vacant apartments.
