At first, Lopez insisted he was serious when he told the Fox 11 news show in L.A. that he wanted to be mayor, saying if actor Arnold Schwarzenegger could be governor of California, there was no reason he couldn't be mayor.
Fox put out a press release about the announcement - but later his spokeswoman made it clear that Lopez was kidding.
