The accident happened around 5:00 p.m. on the White Horse Pike at Mill Road.
Absecon police say 59-year-old Albert Stanley of Pleasantville, New Jersey was struck by a Honda CRV in the westbound lanes of the Pike.
Stanley was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City in critical condition.
Absecon police are investigating.
No charges are expected against the driver.
