While you may have been on vacation over the summer months, our Call For Action volunteers were still working hard, trying to resolve our viewers consumer issues.
In the month of July alone, they closed nearly 300 cases. Year-to-date, Call for Action has helped get back more than a $1,000,000 in goods, services, and refunds.
After switching the provider for her TV service, Sharon Bell was owed a refund of about $121 and the company told her she'd get it back within 2 months.
But lots of paperwork and a couple months later, she still had no check.
"I sent them two faxes and I was on the phone at least six times," Bell told Action News. "One time I was on the phone for at least an hour.
Finally - Sharon contacted Call for Action.
"Within like five working days, the money was credited to my account," she said. "They wanted me to give up and just walk away and I wasn't going to do that."
