Officers served the warrant at the man's home after visiting the house earlier this month in an unrelated incident.
Investigators say the man told them he feeds his family with the animals but they say he may have been selling what he killed.
Police said the basement had two freezers filled with animal parts. Authorities say they're considering animal cruelty charges.
