The fire broke out around 6:10 a.m. at a home on the 3200 of W. Norris Street.
Heavy fire was showing on the second floor of the house when firefighters arrived.
During the battle, evacuation alarms sounded forcing firefighters to evacuate the structure.
The fire was later placed under control.
There are no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
