1 college student dead, 2 hurt in Pa. car crash

OXFORD, Pa. - November 7, 2011

State police say 21-year-old Anthony Washington of Forest Hills, N.Y., was pronounced dead at the scene of Friday night's crash near Lincoln University. The driver and another passenger were hospitalized with severe injuries.

Volunteer firefighters who responded to the scene said the fire was nearly out by the time they arrived. Emergency responders tell the Daily Local News of West Chester the quick response from nearby students may have saved the two injured men.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Lincoln University officials say all three students were seniors on course to graduate in May.
