The incident took place around 5:05 p.m. at 13th and Market streets.
The female officer was on a bicycle at the time.
Police say the 44-year-old officer suffered a leg injury.
She is said to be conscious and alert. The officer is being transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
The striking car remained at the scene.
