The incident happened at the intersection of Ogontz Avenue and Washington Lane.
It was shortly before 6:00 p.m. Thursday when the victim, believed to be in his 30's, was struck by a vehicle.
Police say the man suffered significant head trauma and was rushed by medics to Albert Einstein Medical Center for treatment. He was deemed a trauma alert with unstable vital signs while in transit.
The driver of the striking car remained at the scene.
