Pa. man arrested in child sex sting

BOYERTOWN, Pa. - December 2, 2011

Randy Sailer, 59, of the 1100 block of Ironstone Drive in Boyertown, is charged with two counts of unlawful contact with a minor and one count of criminal use of a communications facility.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General's office said Sailer sent pornographic videos and used internet chat rooms to sexually proposition a person he thought was a 13-year-old girl.

In reality, the "girl" was an undercover agent from the Office's Child Predator Unit.

According to the criminal complaint, the defendant allegedly stated he was looking for a "playmate" interested in "fooling around" and expressed a desire to meet the girl for sex.

The charges are third degree felonies, each punishable by up to 7 years in prison and $15,000 in fines.

He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for December 7th in Boyertown.

Sailer is now free on $75,000 bail.
